Simple Knitted Cellphone and Laptop Cozy Patterns

I made a cozy for my laptop last year... so my fiance wanted a smaller one to fit his HTC phone. I knitted this cozy using half a skein of local multicolor Red Heart yarn...

This pattern only requires half a skein, you can also use scraps, mix and match yarns with different textures... it's very easy to make, so it's also perfect for in-between projects...

1. Cast on 36 stitches.
2. Use magic ring, proceed with ribbing. ( K 2, P 2 ) across. Repeat for 7 rows.
3. Row 8, K until last stitch. Repeat this row until desired body of cozy.
4. On the last half inch: (K 2 , P 2 ) across for 3 rows.
5. Decrease the knit stitches : ( Knit 2 together, purl next 2 stitch. ) repeat across.
6. Cast off purl wise. To seal this bottom part, sew at the wrong side of the work, or single crochet across the cast off stitches joining front and back together. Weave in ends.

I wanted another for my HP laptop 14", so I used my favorite vintage yarn, Carmencita...  you can use your scrap yarns to create those playful stripes.
